Laurent, raised on Chicago's Southside, played basketball at King High School. King, known as a Public League powerhouse, produced talented players for decades. Laurent played at Chicago State University and overseas. Upon returning to Chicago, the Jordan Bulls era was electric; work for basketball players flourished. Laurent has been acting since.
