Biography
was a Japanese voiceâ actor from TaitĹ,â Tokyo. He was best known for voicing Medama Oyaji in nearly every adaptation of Shigeruâ Mizuki's GeGeGeâ noâ KitarĹ made during his lifetime. During his life he had been attached to Gekidan TĹgei and then Theatre Echo; he was attached to Aoniâ Production at the time of his death. He had a naturally deep voice but became famous for voicing characters with a high pitched voice. In addition to GeGeGeâ noâ KitarĹ, he also had prominent roles in Tensaiâ Bakabon (as the first voice of Honkan-san), Mazingerâ Z (as Mucha), Paul'sâ Miraculousâ Adventure (as Doppe), Magicalâ Princessâ Minkyâ Momo (as Sindbook), Akuma-kun (as Youaltepuztli), Dr.â Slumpâ &â Arale-chan (as Gara and Akiraâ Toriyama), Dragonâ Quest:â Daiâ noâ DaibĹken (as Brass), and the Shinâ Megamiâ Tensei:â Persona series (as Igor).
